What is a Texas Investor Cash Out Loan Program?
A Texas Investor Cash Out refinance loan works similarly to a traditional cash-out refinance loan, but with some key differences.
When a Texas investor refinances their current mortgage and takes cash out, they are essentially replacing their current mortgage with a new one and taking out additional cash from the equity they have built up in the property. The amount of cash that can be taken out is typically determined by the lender and is based on the investor’s creditworthiness, income, and the value of the property.
One of the main differences between a Texas Investor Cash Out refinance loan and a traditional cash-out refinance loan is that in Texas, there are restrictions on the amount of cash that can be taken out. The Texas Constitution limits cash out loans to 80% of the property’s value. This means that an investor can only take out cash equal to 80% of the property’s value or less. This is designed to protect homeowners from over-leveraging themselves and going into foreclosure.
Another difference is that Texas Investor Cash Out refinance loans are typically only available to Texas residents who own investment properties. This is because the Texas Constitution limits these types of loans to non-primary residences.
It’s important to note that Texas Investor Cash Out refinance loans can be more complex than traditional refinance loans.
